Maha Shivratri 2024 : A Tribute to Lord Shiva

Each year Maha Shivratri holds a special place in my heart and soul. The journey of my Spiritual growth had parallelly started along my emotional turmoil. When I was going through depression and not keeping emotionally well, my mother guided me to do fasting for 5 Mondays for Shiva. Coming from a humble religious background my mother always had spiritual hacks

This opened the chapter of” Shiva” in my life .Today’s blog is not a strategic post. If you are looking for how to celebrate Shivratri ? How to fast for Shivrathri ? or importance of Maha shivaratri then this blog is not for you.

This blog is pure expression of love for lord Shiva, exploring the Shiva within us and with each year on this auspicious occasion of Mahashivrastri enriching this bond with the true divine source “Shiva”

I started my blog “Bit of Everything “ on Mahashivratri back in 2019. For months I was gathering the courage to write a blog publicly. This is the day I choose or regained my confidence to start on the journey of the unknown. A terrain I had never explored.

Till date I believe it was the grace and blessings of lord Shiva that I build courage to start my blogging journey in 2019. So today’s blog is dedicated only to Shiva. This blog to me is like a digital child, a gift from lord Shiva, unfolding chapters of clarity in my life to unveil my true purpose.

I frankly don’t know where this blog is  leading me in coming years , but I am just going with the flow trusting in Shiva/ Universe

Because each year no matter which state of progress and consistency or distraction I am in, Mahashivratri allows me to reflect and ask me why did I even start this journey. Yes, I did lost my way many times on the way. But I also feel realigned when each year I dedicate this post for Mahashivratri.

Who is shiva to me ?

Shiva to me is everything. I see Shiva in all forms of Relationships that exist on the Earth to its Purest form. The first deity I prayed from my heart and soul was Shiva.

And the magical journey of spiritual exploration began since then. Throughout the years whichever phase of my life I have been he was the guiding force. The courage to fight my depression and mental health issues starts under the grace of lord Shiva.

While I am writing this blog, tears of joy, with deepest gratitude trickle from my eyes for all that Shiva has blessed upon me. He has been with me through my thick and thin days.

Yes At times I did get upset on him but today when I assimilate all my bitter, sour, sweet memories , I feel there was no other way then what I went through to see the real transformation happening within me,

Each year as I grow in my spiritual journey the more I learn about Shiva, I still feel there’s  are lot many dimensions and mysteries yet to be discovered. Or maybe it would take lifetimes to understand him.

With  No offense against the religious relevance of Mahashivratri, for me this is day of pure devotion, expressing gratitude, to  lord Shiva, reflection, a little exploration etc,

Over the years no other mystic than Sadhguru has explained who the real Shiva is. This has only deepened my love and devotion for lord Shiva even more.

Each Maha Shivrathri I try to to read a book on Shiva to know more about him. This year I have picked the Adi yogi by Sadhguru.

Who is Shiva to me ?

Shiva to me is the source of one’s life

    That which keeps us alive

That which has capability to reflects superhuman capabilities in humans

That which is nothing but everything at the same time

That which is never seen but felt through true devotion

He is within me and you too

He is she and she is he too

Today  I am this stable , sound and sensible human being because of Shiva. May we all discover our true connection with divine source that lives within us. We all are sparks of his creation and love. Throbbing with divine love within. When you trace this place within your heart and soul , you have experienced Shiva within you.

Happy Maha Shivratri to everyone in Advance. May you all experience the source of divine within you. Aham brahamsami
