Wai camping – (Magnus Caverns Resort)

Amidst the Sayadri mountains on both the side of this thoughtful creation called ‘Magnus Caverns Resort’,located near doom dam, enroute Wai is a perfect  getaway for weekends, to unwind yourself in this peaceful surrounding with a lake view having close access to this purely clean, untouched water. This harmoniously flowing river has a capacity to put ur eyes in meditative trance with its calmness.     The first thing that struck my mind, when I visited this place was that, it had been a very longtime, I haven’t seen such a pristine location with Crystal clear water, with no litter & dirt in vicinity.   I felt privileged to find such a untouched tourist spot in Maharashtra, which was not at all swarmed with tourist, except the occupants, though the occupancy was full, the landscape of the place is such that everyone gets their space to chill out.      I loved this idea of organized camping, as this place has something to offer to everyone or people coming from different walks of life & luxuries as they have 3 varied selection of accommodation. Apart from tents which accomadate 2 to 3 people per tent, they also have bunch of lavish rajasthani tents for a more comfortable stay. And just 2 months back they have successfully managed to built up,  stunningly spectacular looking luxury villa’s against the road making it a place catering for all kinds of tourists.    Tents where we stayed      Rajasthani tents       View from inside (Apologies for the untidy picture, as clicked at the check out time)             Luxury villas
Every corner of this place had a picturesque view. Their garden was totally blooming with these rare species of flower called ‘Blue snake weed’   So dominantly they spread the magic of their personality that I was hypnotized with their presence. They also had small section assigned for botanic herbal garden.    There were fun indoor and outdoor games like carom, archery, dart etc placed randomly in their premises.  However we opted to go for fishing. It was my first try & trust me it was quiet a thrilling and learning experience.   After spending the night in front of cozy bonfire in front of tent & a scrumptious meal we comfortably dozed off in this doom shaped tents peacefully with excitement.  Next day after checking out, we planned to explore the nearby motor boat ride, just half km away from this place and  strawberry 🍓 plucking freshly from the nearby farm, which was again a gripping experience. A glimpse of 360 angle video from our motor boat ride.  Spotted these pretty little milky white duckies at the back waters.          The lake view

I don’t have enough of words to express how fulfilling this weekend trip had been to us. It was more than what we expected out of this place. As their site says, the purpose of this beautiful project by Mr Thorave family was to provide employment opportunities in that area to promote agro tourism, in this extremely well located location, and I believe it’s  a total win win for everyone right from the staff, villagers to the tourist and locals.
